St. George 70.3 marks the 4th race of the year already. 3 of those coming in the last 5 weeks. We put together another quick race report video. This one isn't as popular as the other two. For one it's probably not as funny, but it's also the 3rd time it's been done. Check it out below if you haven't seen it yet.
All said I felt I raced pretty well. This was the first race of the year where my run kinda let me down a bit though. It could be a function of the hilly course which doesn't really suit me all that well, but probably more so I was just a slight loss of fitness from racing too much and not training enough in the last 5 or 6 weeks. When you taper for 3 races and recover from two of them, that really only leaves about 10 days of 'proper' training. More so to hang on to some fitness as opposed to build on what I had.

The 2013 Ironman St. George 70.3 lived up to its billing as a hard fought race, with a top-notch field, on a spectacular course. I gave it all I had, which was good enough for 3rd place on the day.

Well, had to follow up my last 80 second race report with another. Glad y'all like them so much! Also, big thank you to Heather who comes up with plenty of great ideas and does a lot of the random photo searching. It's a team effort, for sure.

For those that haven't seen this on twitter or facebook, here's my race report from a very stacked Ironman 70.3 Oceanside. The funny and quick version.

The California Ironman 70.3 in Oceanside is always a big race, and this year was no exception. As the season opener for the Ironman brand in the States there is a lot of hype, and very big/competetive pro fields.

Trevor here - We had our first few workouts with The Triathlon Squad this morning, down in Poway California. A short ride, a great outdoor swim, and an afternoon run. Honestly, I'm reluctant to even call it a camp. Nobody here is doing anything different than what they do every single day, but a few of us roll into town for certain blocks of time to train with the cali resident squad members - essentially making it a 'camp'.
